The "Weight" Is Over

Greeting Mid-Atlantic Mochas,

After a very inspiring night at the Healthy Moms Symposium, we wanted to give Mochas the opportunity to share weight loss tips, progress and encouragement.

Happy Blogging!

Motivation is a really difficult thing to get a handle on. When it's 10:17 at night and you just want to sleep or finish the laundry, the last thing you want to do is exercise. But instead of thinking about doing some long routine or driving to the gym, I'm going to go in the basement and do some floor work - pilates. It's relaxing and still a work out. And before I know it, I'll be done. It's nice to have choices. I'm determined to get rid of the rest of this weight! Are you with me?

Well here I am one month later and with determination and perseverence I am 10 pounds lighter! Whoo hoo! It's coming off SLOWLY but the main thing is that the ball is rolling and it's coming off! Everyday is a new day and my kitchen is a battle field. I gotta arm my mind everyday that I walk in it because there are weapons of mass destruction in there waiting for me to consume them! LOL! Some days I might fall down (like today when my husband bought home 2 large shrimp egg rolls from our favorite hole-in-the-wall Chinese spot in East Baltimore) but I don't give up. I just chalk it up and put together my game plan for the next day right after I wake up and look on the scale to see the damage. That's part of my motivation. Everybody has to figure out their own.
